The sound of Keith Glass Band can best be described as rock and roll - with all that term encompasses: R&B, country, folk, blues, rock - all fused into Keith�s original songs.

Keith is an old friend of Greenbank audiences who has visited us before as a solo act as well as with another old friend and favourite, Lynn Miles. A singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, bass), producer, and a founding member, guitarist and songwriter of Prairie Oyster, he is a member of the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.

Alistair Dennett was the first drummer in Prairie Oyster. He has been playing in bands with Keith since high school. Upon landing in Ottawa, Alistair has played with Brock Zeman, Sneezy Waters and His Excellent Band, Ball and Chain and Morningwood Trio. He is also an accomplished bodhran player/teacher

Steve Trecarten is one of Ottawa�s premiere tenor and baritone sax players, and an accomplished blues, jazz and rock keyboardist.

Mike Turenne is a consummate veteran bassist from the Ottawa area.

"This November and December, Guelph musicians Tannis Slimmon and Katherine Wheatley will be joined by their new bandmate Angie Nussey from Orillia to perform their show "Song's For The Snowy Season". The show celebrates the coming of winter and the spirit of the holiday season.

These three Canadian songstresses have dug up old songs and written new ones about the snowy season. Their lyrics conjure up vivid sights and sounds that every Canadian would fondly recognize: pine branches bending low, squirrels� footprints in the snow, winter�s hush, the icy breath that accompanies shovelling, the sound of slap shots off the boards, the angel truck drivers who lead us home in blizzards.

Boreal's rapport, with each other and with the audience, is warm, friendly, and genuine. Their love of melodies and harmonies, their combined songwriting skills, their tour de force voices, and the joy they feel singing with each other all make for an unforgettable event. It is the perfect antidote to a cold winter�s night.

Kobo Town is named after the historic neighborhood in Port-of-Spain where calypso was born amid the boastful, humorous and militant chants of roaming stick-fighters. Situated near the fishermen�s wharf, the area was a site of constant defiance and conflict, a place where sticks and stones, songs and verses clashed with the bayonets and batons of colonial rule.

Founded and fronted by �migr� Trinidadian songwriter Drew Gonsalves, Kobo Town�s music has been variously described as �an intoxicating blend of lilting calypsonian wit, dancehall reggae and trombone-heavy brass� (Guardian) and a �unique, transnational composite of rhythm, poetry and activist journalism.�(Exclaim!) From their home in Toronto, the JUNO Award winning group has brought their distinct calypso-inspired sound to audiences across the world, from Port-of-Spain to Paris and from Montreal to Malaysia.

At once brooding and joyous, intensely poetic and highly danceable, Gonsalves� songs betray deep roots in Caribbean folk music, while the band delivers them with an indomitable energy that has earned them a considerable following far beyond the niche of world music enthusiasts and calypso fans.

Kerri grew up outside Port Hope and lived there until off to university in London. For a decade after school, she lived in Toronto. It was there that she met her husband and formed her band Good Lovelies. In 2013, she moved to St. John�s, Newfoundland, bought her first house, and spent her free time exploring Newfoundland. In early 2019, she sold their house and moved back to Ontario.

As noted on their web site, the JUNO Award�winning roots-pop combo of Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough, and Susan Passmore - the Good Lovelies - are more than a decade into a career that has yielded four widely acclaimed studio albums, two Christmas collections (including 2019�s gorgeous Evergreen), two EPs, a live album, and a #1 single (�I See Gold� from 2018�s smash album, Shapeshifters) plus devoted fans in Europe, Australia, the U.S. and homeland Canada, where performances alongside the Toronto Symphony Orchestra are not unheard of.

The trio is poised to soar even higher in the roaring 2020s on every conceivable front. There�s recording new material and touring, sure, but also tangible green initiatives, a plan to achieve gender parity in the studio, a bold embrace of the digital age, and the release of their �Live Taping Show� from February 2019 which found the Good Lovelies and their five-piece band in peak form before rolling cameras on a gorgeous stage in Huntsville, Ontario.

Kerri Ough is a vital part of the Lovelies featuring her lead vocals, keyboard, banjo, acoustic guitar, and omnichord. Her solo album �One Day Soon� came out last March. To support the release, she toured in support of Royal Wood on the East Coast of Canada. "Thrilled doesn�t even cut it. I�m over the moon," she said. "I�ve been waiting a long time to put this music out."

Christine Bougie is an accomplished guitarist with one main guitar. She�s also an in-demand lap steel player with one go-to lap steel. Yet while her approach to instruments is admittedly minimalistic, her approach to instrumentation � be it the lush soundscapes of her solo output or the aural textures she adds to the work of a myriad of well-known artists � is quite the opposite.As a solo artist and composer, Bougie has released four albums of instrumental music. In August 2019, she released Love Songs with the Queer Songbook Orchestra on 7� vinyl, which features two of her lap steel compositions, backed by a 10 piece chamber orchestra.

Catherine MacLellan, one of Canadian folk music�s true gems, returns with her anticipated seventh album, COYOTE. This self-produced release is a travelogue through heartbreak, loss and the joy of life.

COYOTE contains 14 songs that are reflective, poignant and hopeful. They were all recorded and produced by Catherine at her home studio in PEI.

�It�s a dream home, a big old farm house with a long history of music. In the early days, there were big kitchen parties, with someone always rocking the piano and people square dancing. When I moved here, I really got the sense the house wanted things to be happening, and music to be played.�

COYOTE adds some of that traditional East Coast instrumentation of accordions, fiddles and bouzouki. The songs touch on themes of change, vulnerability, and letting yourself be seen; the good, the bad, the pretty, and the ugly.

The past four years have been a busy and important time for Catherine, she set aside her own songwriting to celebrate the life and legacy of her late legendary father, Gene MacLellan. During this time, she recorded and released the album, If It�s Alright With You: The Songs of Gene MacLellan; produced a stage show by the same name; and an award winning documentary, The Song and the Sorrow � all in tribute to him. Gene MacLellan is recognized as one of Canada�s most celebrated songwriters with worldwide hits including, Snowbird made famous by Anne Murray, and Put Your Hand in the Hand by Ocean.

Though the acclaim for Catherine�s own work was already significant, it reached new levels when she took home a Juno Award in 2015 for her standout album, The Raven�s Sun. This was an intimate look into her musical work with long-time collaborator, Chris Gauthier. Catherine has also been recognized with multiple East Coast Music Awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards, and Music PEI Awards.

Catherine MacLellan, is a musician�s musician, respected by her peers since releasing Dark Dream Midnight, her first solo album, in 2004. As with many performers, Catherine feels most at home on stage. That moment of connection is what matters most.
